Our Vision

Cancer is a big problem worldwide, and as people get older, it’s going to be even more important in the future. When someone is diagnosed with cancer, it’s really tough for them and their family, and it’s a burden on society. Even though we’ve made a lot of progress in treating and curing cancer, there’s still a lot of work to be done.

In the last 10 years, there have been new ways to use the body’s own immune system to fight cancer. These methods can wake up immune cells that cancer cells had turned off, so they can start attacking the tumor again. Another way is by giving immune cells new receptors to help them recognize and attack the tumor. But unfortunately, these methods don’t work for everyone or every type of cancer.

We believe that with our approach, we can make immune cells stronger and more durable, which will ultimately help cure patients with tumors that current treatments cannot cure.

Our Goals

Fighting a tumor is hard work for immune cells, and sometimes they get tired out and stop working properly, which we call “exhaustion.”

Our goal is to prevent immune cells from getting exhausted. We want to do this by adding genetic sensors to their DNA. These sensors will recognize when the immune cells are getting tired and will help them keep working properly. To do this, we need to understand better what happens inside immune cells when they stop fighting cancer. Then we can use that knowledge to create the tools we need to achieve our goal.
